9-5 Stressful days? Try This😉

Many folks say Monday is always a hectic day but permit me to tilt my notion to the contrary. Monday is exaggeratedly believed to be the busiest day of the week but answer this; how many times have you carried over Monday duties to Tuesday? We never realized that Monday takes a toll on Tuesday, which has its tasks and schedules.

Last Monday was hectic, then I told myself, Sheyi, Tuesday will be more of the same. So, I wasn't surprised to resume office that morning to find my supervisor had already stacked my desk with a pile of reviewable. I could tell from the expression on his face, that he sensed a tinge of resistance.

So he reemphasized in a stern, deep and broken voice - "Sheyi. Before closing hours". He dashed up the stairs then his door slammed shut hard. Immediately, I knew the end of today called for a treat.

It was a long day of unending reviews and briefs in the office. I finally finished the job before 5 pm that evening. An extra working hour later. That evening, my drive home detoured the Grand Square on Muhammadu Buhari Way.

Just before sundown, Temi and I arrived at Le Petit Square dinner. Earlier, Josh had told me how he enjoyed the service and menu, so I always wanted to visit. We arrived early it seemed. Folks were yet to make the spot. We sat at the far end in a booth outside; the entrance was visible from here.

After perusing the menu, Temi passed it to me indecisively. The menu was rich and okay but not out of the ordinary, so it didn't take long for us to settle for the "T-Bone Steak with Mashed Potatoes priced at ₦4700 and Grilled Chicken Breast with Jollof, ₦3300." I love it when the cost is attached.

While waiting, we watched as the spot gradually filled up as folks arrived. It was quite a popular place with this turnout.

However, Temi is not one to instigate outdoor dining. She can be meticulous and finicky; so she came in a fix. The steak was flavorful and seasoned to the bone. It grilled perfectly and also weighed quite heavy.

Fantastic! However, it may have been a touch dry; but there with sauce. The serving arrived with silky, creamy, lightly seasoned potato mash and a separate bowl of chili sauce to the side.

It was a tender and flavorful chicken barbeque. The spicy sauce poured all over everything was delicious. Jollof rice serving was perfect.

For me, this was just great and too lovely an experience to forget. It was a delicious steak! This restaurant boasts the best selection of French wines at reasonable costs in Abuja. A glass of red wine costs between N1300 and N1500. We had a Just Merlot - Pays D'oc; dry red wine complemented our dinner beautifully.

Finally, we enjoyed a fantastic meal involving steak and wine at one of Abuja's best-kept secrets. We'd return here was what I had in mind. My Tuesday hectic Tuesday got the needed pampering at last. Felt as though nothing awful ever happened.

You should try it too!
